Buttons: Natural corozo nut

Merino is a fine, soft wool that feels much gentler on the skin than ordinary wool, so it rarely itches. It insulates well, even when damp, and regulates temperature, keeping you warm in the cold and comfortable when it’s milder. It resists odour, so you can wear it several times between cleaning. With good care it lasts for years. As a natural protein fibre, it can break down in soil far more readily than synthetic fibres.

With any garments that uses wool, we always suggest to air or hang in a cool place to refresh, as opposed to frequent washing - since wool has a near 'self cleaning' property. This garment should only be dry cleaned.
Light stains can be gently spot cleaned with a cold damp soft lint-free cloth or sponge, but without any rubbing.

Corozo is a hard, creamy-white nut used for buttons, often called “vegetable ivory.” It comes from the seeds of tagua palms, mainly grown in South America. It feels smooth, solid and slightly warm, and it can be dyed, carved and polished to look like horn or bone. It is durable enough for everyday wear and washing, though it can crack if knocked and may fade or swell with prolonged heat or soaking. Compared with plastic buttons, it isn’t made from petroleum and doesn’t shed microplastics. As a plant material it can biodegrade. The nuts are harvested from fallen seeds rather than felled trees.
